Two toned cabinets for this Shawnee Ks kitchen

This cabinet painting project in Shawnee, KS turned out amazing for the homeowner and for our team at RileyDesignsKc. The job began by removing the old desk area to make room for a more functional and stylish cabinet setup. Removing that old footprint cleared the space and allowed us to plan for storage, appliance fit, and convenient access.

After demolition, we installed a new cabinet that includes three drawers and a dedicated space for a wine fridge. The drawers give easy organized storage for items that used to be scattered across the desk. The wine fridge opening was sized and placed so a standard undercounter unit will fit neatly, keeping the appliance accessible while maintaining a built-in appearance.

We also added a pull-out trash can to the new cabinet. That feature keeps trash out of sight and makes kitchen cleanup much simpler. The pull-out sits on smooth glides so it is easy to open and close, and it tucks away completely when not in use.

Once the new cabinet was in place and all components fit correctly, the real transformation happened with the cabinet painting. We applied a two toned paint job that refreshed the entire area and tied the new cabinet to the surrounding space. The two-tone approach created visual interest and helped the new cabinet feel custom and intentional.

The combination of new cabinetry and the two-tone paint gave the whole area a finished, cohesive look. Functionally, the homeowner gained organized drawer space, a designated spot for a wine fridge, and a discreet trash solution. Aesthetically, the painted finish elevated the space and made the installation look like it belonged there all along.

Riley Designs Kc in Shawnee, KS handled the project from removal through installation and finishing. We coordinated the steps so the cabinet fit and features matched the homeowner's needs, then completed the painting to achieve the dramatic change they wanted. The result was a practical and attractive cabinet area that improved both form and function.

This project shows how a focused cabinet painting and installation project can remake a small area. By removing the outdated desk, adding the right storage and appliance space, and finishing everything with a two-tone paint job, the space became cleaner, more useful, and visually appealing. The homeowner was thrilled with how everything came together, and we were glad to deliver a finished product that truly turned out amazing.
